Simmer Down began with a freezer full of meals and a pregnant mom looking for ways to get ahead of dinner. While preparing for the arrival of her daughter, Nikki started making freezer meals. What began as a personal solution quickly grew into a passion project and eventually into a full-time family business.
A few years later, Nikki and her husband decided to take a leap of faith. They purchased two buildings on Main Street in West Point, Nebraska, and spent 18 months transforming them into a charming storefront and licensed commercial kitchen. From that home base, Simmer Down was born.
We’ve since expanded to locations in Fremont and Norfolk, all from our West Point kitchen.
